How
Do You Know Which Copper Manufacturing Process Is Right For You?
Open Die Forging and Copper
This process provides great flexibility in the manufacturing of your
copper parts. Heated copper alloy parts are typically produced on flat
dies that are not restricted like the confined dies that are used in
the closed die forging. In addition to being the best option for custom
designed copper parts there are 4 distinct advantages associated
to the copper open die process and they include:
- -The ability to produce very large copper products which cannot
be processed in closed dies due to size limitations.
-Cost effective when quantities of the copper product are low thereby
eliminating the cost of required tooling used in the closed die process.
-Offers a wider range of Mechanical Properties that may not be able
to be achieved by other forging processes.
-Quicker deliveries of copper product due to the fact that dies do
not have to be fabricated as they do in the closed die process.
